Gino Cetto l'artista dimenticato. Nasce nel 1926 in un umile casa di Selva di Levico. La sua vita è un percorso ad ostacoli. Cetto inizia a lavorare fin da giovane. L'arte del maniscalco gli viene insegnata dal maestro artigiano Arturo Comper di Trento. Sono gli anni dell'apprendistato. La famiglia Cetto si trasferisce a Cognola di Trento, il padre fa il ferroviere. I cavalli, i muli e i buoi da ferrare sono moltissimi e Cetto si distingue per la sua intraprendenza. Ben presto l'allievo supera il maestro.

Gino apre una sua officina a Levico e si sposa è il 1950.

Il nome del maniscalco Cetto varca gli orizzonti, la nobiltà dell'epoca porta da Gino i migliori cavalli per essere ferrati, alla porta dell'officina di Cetto un giorno si presenta anche Graziano Mancinelli, il più famoso cavaliere italiano, vincitore delle olimpiadi di Monaco nel '72.

Con la trasformazione del mondo rurale ed il venir meno degli animali da soma, si innesca in Gino la vena artistica come una specie di metamorfosi.

Adesso anche il figlio e il nipote assieme a Gino continuano su richiesta a realizzare opere con la stessa manualità e arte.

Gino Cetto, the forgotten artist. He was born in 1926 in a humble house in Selva di Levico. His life is an obstacle course. Cetto started working since he was very young. He learns the blacksmith artcraft from Master Blacksmith Arturo Comper in Trento. These are the years of his apprenticeship. Cetto's family moves to Cognola near Trento, his father is a railroader. There are a great number of horses, mules and oxes to be shod and Cetto is distinguished for its resourcefulness. Very soon the student surpasses the master.

Gino opens a workshop in Levico and gets married. The year is 1950.

The name of the blacksmith Cetto spreads widely, the nobility of that period brings him its best horses to be shod. One day even Graziano Mancinelli, the most famous italian rider, winner of the Munich Olimpic Games in 1972, shows up at Cetto's workshop.

With the transformation of the rural world and the disappearance of the pack animals a new artistic talent emerges in Gino like a sort of metamorphosis.

Today Gino's son and nephew together with him keep on create new works on demand witht the same craft and art.

Gino Cetto, der vergessene Künstler. Er wird 1926 in einem bescheidenen Haus in Selva Levico geboren. Sein Leben ist ein Hindernislauf un er beginnt schon in jungen Jahren zu arbeiten. Die Kunst des Schmiedes wird him ihm von Meister Arthur Comper von Trient gelehrt. Es sind dies die Jahre der Lehrzeit, die Familie Cetto zieth nach Cognola bei Trient und Ginos Vater wird Eisenbahner. Es gibt viele Pferde, Maultiere und Ochsen zu beschlagen und die Arbeit von Gino Cetto ist von Einfallsreichtum und Unternehmensgeist gesprägt. Bald wird der Schüler besser als sein Meister.

Gino öffnet seine eigene Werkstatt in Levico und heiratet 1950.

Der Name des Hufschmieds überschreitet bald die engen Grenzen des Dorfes, der Adel der Zeit bring Gino die besten Pferde zu beschlagen und an die Tür seiner Werkstatt klopft sogar Graziano Mancinelli, der berühmteste italienische Reiter, Gewinner der Olympischen Spiele in München 1972.

Mit den Wandel der Zeit wird aus der ländlichen eine industrialisierte Welt und die Lasttiere werden immer weniger, in Gino entwickelt sich seine schöpferische Ader und er wird zum Künstler.

Jetzt arbeiten sein Sohn und sein Enkel zusammen mit Gino weiter, um mit dem gleichen Geschick, auch auf Bestellung, künstlerische Werke zu erschaffen.
